Perceptions on Receptions..

Recently, my friend made a forward of this below story, but then this was a famous decription for us when i was providing consultations to industries for not to ignore any issues for granted..

Thatz why i am sometimes skeptic about loose ends of any issues.. Unlucky iam trained to be so, so might be difficult for many to catch along..hehe.. anyway, pick your time to read it..

Vanilla Ice Cream that puzzled General motors!!!!

An Interesting Story -Never underestimate your Clients' Complaint, no matter how funny it might seem! This is a real story that happened between the customer of General Motors and its Customer-Care Executive. Pls read on..... A complaint was received by the Pontiac Division of General Motors:'This is the second time I have written to you, and I don't blame you for not answering me, because I sounded crazy, but it is a fact that we have a tradition in our family of Ice-Cream for dessert after dinner each night, but the kind of ice cream varies so, every night, after we've eaten, the whole family votes on which kind of ice cream we should have and I drive down to the store to get it. It's also a fact that I recently purchased a new Pontiac and since then my trips to the store have created a problem.....

You see, every time I buy a vanilla ice-cream, when I start back from the store my car won't start. If I get any other kind of ice cream, the car starts just fine. I want you to know I'm serious about this question, no matter how silly it sounds "What is there about a Pontiac that makes it not start when I get vanilla ice cream, and easy to start whenever I get any other kind?" The Pontiac President was understandably skeptical about the letter, but sent an Engineer to check it out anyway. The latter was surprised to be greeted by a successful, obviously well educated man in a fine neighborhood. He had arranged to meet the man just after dinner time, so the two hopped into the car and drove to the ice cream store. It was vanilla ice cream that night and, sure enough, after they came back to the car, it wouldn't start. The Engineer returned for three more nights. The first night, they got chocolate. The car started. The second night, he got strawberry. The car started. The third night he ordered vanilla. The car failed to start.

Now the engineer, being a logical man, refused to believe that this man's car was allergic to vanilla ice cream. He arranged, therefore, to continue his visits for as long as it took to solve the problem. And toward this end he began to take notes: He jotted down all sorts of data: time of day, type of gas uses, time to drive back and forth etc. In a short time, he had a clue: the man took less time to buy vanilla than any other flavor. Why? The answer was in the layout of the store. Vanilla, being the most popular flavor, was in a separate case at the front of the store for quick pickup. All the other flavors were kept in the back of the store at a different counter where it took considerably longer to check out the flavor. Now, the question for the Engineer was why the car wouldn't start when it took less time. Eureka - Time was now the problem - not the vanilla ice cream!!!! The engineer quickly came up with the answer: "vapor lock". It was happening every night; but the extra time taken to get the other flavors allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently to start. When the man got vanilla, the engine was still too hot for the vapor lock to dissipate.

Even crazy looking problems are sometimes real and all problems seem to be simple only when we find the solution, with cool thinking.

Don't just say it is " IMPOSSIBLE" without putting a sincere effort.... Observe the word "IMPOSSIBLE" carefully... . Looking closer you will see, "I'M POSSIBLE"...What really matters is your attitude and your perception.

Fun at MacRitchie

World getting shrunk at rapid speed. If iam not wrong 2 weeks back finally i met sunand (a friend who i met in New Delhi) at his home, buddy boy arranged a grand party, were me and his friends ended up fully drunk ;-) One was kumanan, his house-mate; and i meet him for the first time. Later i realized, he is an crescentian and he realized, im an campionite, and he said my friend Riaz is around singapore on some project.
Riaz is my school mate and who lost contact 8 years back. After falling on phone, we decided to meet up. So i planned something fun, and planned for boat rowing and trekking. Not fun, if we are too alone, so made a team, Suan Hwee, Ram, Riaz and Me gathered at MacRitchie Reservior.
I first decided to row boat and then start with the trekking excerise. Ram, i catch up with him out for the 1st time again, he is a professional and a friend & collegue to Satheesh & Suresh, and thatz how i know him. Ram, not being familiar with swimming and 'fear of Jal', so was reluctant to fetch his own boat. So we decided to make him a photographer, while Suan caught his own boat, and riaz & me chose a double-seater. Suan really enjoyed his time into the reservior, of course, most of the time, chasing the malysian girl..hehe.. Riaz too did enjoy his adventure to row for the 1st time. Guys enjoyed it, however, i was tired, bcoz to let riaz feel motivated, i had to really row the boat myself..haha..
The hungry boy Ram, wanted to soon make up for the breakfast, so we winded up rowing and started to trek. We first chose to walk along the prunus walk along the reservior side and later entered the forest, and fun talk, photography and enjoyed the time. Riaz a photo-fonder troubled ram and suan all the ways, by frequent stopping for photographs.
That was good to make a day with my friends and it was a kind of stress-off the brains for the day; tired and hungry we rushed a cab to north point for a good food and later dispersed tired to home. However, after a shower, i rushed back to office that evening... don't know why i have become like this....
Anyway, when get the snaps and the time, i would post the pictures in orkut. Got time, then may browse through the photo ablum..
Happy to meet my friends!!

Clouds of our thoughts

Imagine you are at an Airport. While you're waiting for your flight, you notice a kiosk selling cookies. You buy a box, put them in your travelling bag and then you patiently search for an available seat so you can sit down and enjoy your cookies. Finally, you find a seat next to a gentleman. You reach down into the travelling bag and pull out the box of cookies. As you do so, you notice that the gentleman starts watching you intensely. He stares as you open the box and his eyes follow your hand as you pick up the cookie and bring it to your mouth. Just then he reaches over and takes one of your cookies from the box, and eats it! You're more than a little surprised at this.
Actually, you're at a loss for words. Not only does he take one cookie, but also he alternates with you. For every one cookie you take, he takes one. Now, what's your immediate impression of this guy... Crazy? Greedy? He's got some nerve? Can you imagine the words you might use to describe this man to your associates back at the office? Meanwhile, you both continue eating the cookies until there's just one left. To your surprise, the man reaches over and takes it. But then he does something unexpected. He breaks it in half, and gives half to you. After he's finished with his half he gets up, and without a word, he leaves. You think to yourself, "Did this really happen?"
You're left sitting there dumbfounded and still hungry. So you go back to the kiosk and buy another box of cookies. You then return to your seat and begin opening your new box of cookies, but when you glance down into your travel bag, sitting there you realize in your bag is your original box of cookies, still unopened. Only then do you realize that when you reached down earlier, you had reached into the other man's bag, and grabbed his box of cookies by mistake. Now what do you think of the man? Generous? Tolerant? You've just experienced a profound paradigm shift. You're seeing things from a new point of view. Is it time to change your point of view?
Moral: Many a times, we are clouded by our own instincts and predispositions. These hamper our relationship with our peers, subordinates and superiors. Try to be non-judgmental and look beyond the obvious.

Haha.. this august, i am definite to agree there was vacation holiday for ghosts..
To share something, i have a peculiar feeling from last 3 years, very much odd from other... on a particular month, august, i feel like hiding myself into some nice cave... juz like Lord Shiva tried to do when Mr Saniswaran was even chancing him.. keke..

Ooooh llaaaammmaa!! Juz tired of everything.. all i have to think is.. Is there any more thing still left out.. :(

Heavy troubles at work inspite of that being my home, heavy money drain, lost my living place, forgot my working visa at boat house, permenant break off, super heavy taxi bills, mom unwell, stuburn decisions from some sides, some friends unhappy with me, couldnt manage myself to make up for a very very very important appointment, super-dopper telephone bills, couldnt be able to present myself for a special invite, cornored for critical decisions, people just took me for granted, lost some of my things, dripping support from some sides, weak support from other sides, super jump for longer travels, still didnt buy some things for 2 very very special people who asked for somethings to me for the 1st time, little unorganized, sandwiched between two bosses, troubles, troubles & troubles and nothing less than this..

Anyway its life.. and we should be able to catch up.. and i guess i should plan for a nicer rythm and make it work :) Do you think september is gonna make it happen.. hehe.. Letz look ahead with hope and optimism.. ;-)

Contentment

I was the first one to plan to leave office on friday evening, somehow after a big rush, i was the last one to leave and managed to reach home for a shower and again.. Cab ..to reach Changi Village before 9PM. It was some special day and in Sri Ramar Temple, it was aaradhani for "Sri Ragavendra". The last time i visited the temple was a few months back and somehow i felt pleasant being there again.
Maintained some quietness and managed to recollect some slogas and recited quieted infront of God. However, on special occassion, somebody will arrange to provide food and i should admit its real good taste and hygyine of course.
I always have a strong feeling, there is great level of some contentment and a kind of satisfaction or fulfilment when i take food /prashadham from temple. This kind of feeling of some peacefulness or silent happiness, i even don't have when take food at the best of the restraunts around here. Some peculiar difference i come across and i juz wonder about it.. anyway i continue to enjoy this way!!

Today is Raksha Bandhan!!

Raksha bandham.. a festival and celebration as grand a sis to a brother. This is an north-indian celebration and now a grand national celebration (may be due to appreciation of better half of other cultures...or may be due to fashion). Anyway, its a nice festival to encourage better relations with love and care between brothers and sisters. The sister normally ties a band (colourful and nice appeals) to brothers hand and gives him special sweets and wishes a good life to him. Is it only so much..Oosh..how can you expect girls to do wonders to you without returns.. haha.. and after the tieing of band, the brother wishes the sister too and gives a lot of money and a lots and lots of gifts.. and its happiness giving.. because its love.
And this is what my sister had to tell me for today:
"Viju,
No matter how far I am,
You are with me in my thoughts..
And memories of the fun times we have shared, the laughter and smiles, are in my heart.
Happy raksha bandhan!!"
So cute and a big hug to my sis. Iam very thankful for her wishes.
Just now i wonder, what should i gift her... :)
